Maverick Trading is hiring a fully remote Equity & Options Trader open to applicants in Agui, Japan. We are a proprietary trading firm with 25+ years of experience training and funding professional traders, and we allocate firm capital to disciplined candidates who can demonstrate consistency and risk discipline.

The Local Angle: East Asia
East Asia trades US markets overnight from a local perspective — the NYSE opens late evening or early morning local time. Many of our Asia-Pacific traders prefer this: structure your trades during your own day, manage positions in a focused overnight window.
Local time zone: JST (UTC+9). US markets run through your overnight hours — the NYSE opens at 11:30pm JST. Many of our Asia-Pacific traders structure trades the prior session and manage positions during a focused window.
Day-to-Day
- Trade equities and options within defined risk parameters
- Follow a structured, rules-based risk management approach
- Build consistency and scale capital based on performance
Options at Maverick
Options allow traders to define risk, hedge exposures, and structure trades beyond simple directional stock positions. Maverick is one of the few proprietary trading firms that actively trades options as a core part of its trading approach.

How the Remote Setup Works
Maverick is a remote-first firm: traders work from home offices, dedicated trading setups, or co-working spaces across the country. We do not require relocation, do not require attendance in a physical office, and do not impose minimum-hour requirements on screen time. The role is structured around output, not presence.
